Kids, teens, adults, and families of all ages: Join racial justice educators Wee The People for Wee Wear The Crowns!, a radical celebration of Black experience focused on an icon of Black resistance. Together we will explore Black identity, expression, and experience through storytelling and art-making grounded in unapologetic black JOY! 

Chosen icon: Freedom fighter Toussaint Louverture & the Haitian Revolution.

About Wee the People:

Wee The People (WTP) is a Boston-based racial and social justice education project that designs high-impact, arts-based programming for kids, anti-racism workshops for communities, and professional development training for organizations. Founded and led by Black women since 2015, Wee The People aims to:

  • INSPIRE children to notice and speak out against injustice
  • SUPPORT parents and educators in starting and sustaining conversations about race and equity with kids
  • CENTER and affirm the experience of Black and other equity-deserving communities
