Generative Poetry Writing Workshop
Tuesday, September 106:30—8:00 PMAuditoriumCentral Library79 Highland Ave, Somerville , MA, 02143
Join the Somerville Public Library and published, award-winning poet and instructor Dana Alsamsam for a FREE generative poetry writing workshop.
During the 90-minute session, we will closely read poems for inspiration, engage with writing prompts, share by reading aloud, if the writer desires, and discuss ideas and approaches to poetry writing to build an at-home practice. Each attendee will leave with a draft of at least one new poem, and the ideas, starts, and exercises for many others. This workshop is open to poets of all levels; some familiarity with poetry is helpful but not required.
Space is limited, so please be sure to register in advance!
