Bilingual Storytelling: Madre Monte
Sunday, April 73:00—4:00 PMAuditoriumCentral Library79 Highland Ave, Somerville , MA, 02143
Spanish Fun Program and Karina Travel Connectors are returning to the SPL with their Bilingual Storytelling series! This program is a family oriented Spanish immersion for those who practice the language or for those who want to learn. The program includes bilingual storytelling, music and dance, dynamic games, and arts and crafts!
In honor of Earth's Month we'll hear The legend of the Mother Mount, La Leyenda de la Madre Monte! It is a story deeply rooted in the oral tradition of the Colombian Amazon and part of the eastern plains. Madre Monte is commonly represented as a beautiful and strong woman, half woman and half mountain; dressed in leaves and green moss, whose face cannot be seen. She is the protector of Nature.
About Spanish Fun Program and Karina Travel Connectors: Esther Gomez and Karina Liendo are two passionate entrepreneurs, both born and raised in Mexico and Peru respectively. Esther has more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish to children in the Massachusetts area.
